Check-in Round Robin Post

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

We are sort of self quarantining here in rural North Carolina. Our governor has closed schools and as of today, dining in at restaurants is closed as well as bars and such. Take put should be available though. We have 33 or so cases in NC, though I'm not sure any of them are actually confirmed with testing. There are none with in 30 miles of us.

We have food and I am a natural, um, sort of hoarder so we have plenty of soap and stuff like that, plenty of paper I think and any OTC meds we take. We will have to venture out for my prescriptions but the pharmacy does have a drive-thru.

I am writing and cleaning out my clothes closet. I have a shirt addiction and have to clean out shirts fairly often plus I have to get rid of some of the ones that are too big for me. I've lost about 20 pounds this year so far and so my clothes need ot be a bit smaller! Whee!

What're y'all doing? Do you live in an area with a lot of COVID-19? What food items hard to find where you live? Is quarantine mandatory anywhere yet?

This post is open to all, even non users but I will switch it to DW user after a day or two since i had to make my journal wide open as well. you can't seem to set the thing for just one post.

Thank you for hosting the check-up post! It's unfortunate for you that you have to fiddle with your journal's settings, though, but very kind of you to do it. I'm keeping my own journal public but access lock most posts - usually, just fanwork posts, signal boosts, and things like this are unlocked.

Me and mine are still all well and doing fine. Homeschooling isn't usually a thing in my country, so the first day of it was a fun experience for my nieces. The middle one said it's awesome because there's much less noise than at school, and the eldest welcomed the option to sleep in a bit. *g*

I had a great supper (lamb chops) but I'm a little stir-crazy in general.

I'll post tomorrow.

Hi! We haven't met, thanks for doing the check-in post. Cleaning out your closet seems like a good idea, might do that today, as well.

In my part of Germany, flour, eggs, and loo roll are hard to find. Not sure what people are going to do with all that flour and loo roll, but I'm glad if it gives people comfort. There are a couple of cases in my area and most shops that aren't grocery stores or supermarkets are closed.

Hello from the rainy south coast of daft little England. Hope to find everyone here being careful and coping ok.

Boris has told us to stay indoors. We are both over 60 so we're going to do as advised, but the Pub opposite is full - and a lot of the patrons older than us (and a hella lot less fit) and the sort who smoke and drink and won't change their ways in a belligerent, 'let's get brexit done' fashion. I suspect they've taken all the loo rolls.

I'm missing my aerobics sessions at the gym. One of my lovely instructors is doing online excercise classes and chat. Such a great group. A happy place. :D

Glad our government has started listening to experts again. Not enough fast cash for those with their businesses bust or out of work with their rent due.
